Ascent Track & Field ClinicS
SPRINTS SCHEDULE (ALL CLINICS)
What to expect
Spend 2 days learning from some of the best minds in the sport.
LEARN THE “WHY” BEHIND THE WORK
At an Ascent Track & Field Clinic, athletes in the sprint group spend two immersive days developing the key skills that underpin fast, efficient sprinting.
The clinic begins with a strong emphasis on acceleration, as athletes learn proper sprint posture, power positions, wall drills, and progress methodically from acceleration drills into block setup and block exit work. Throughout the day, athletes rotate through stations that blend technical instruction and clear explanations of the “why” behind each drill and routine.
Day two shifts the focus to maximum velocity, with athletes working through dribble progressions, wicket drills, technique drills, posture, and speed development stations, along with review of of what they learned on day 1, as they revisit acceleration concepts and block work. Athletes will also touch on relay exchanges and drive transition concepts.
Across both days, sprint training is supported by comprehensive warm ups, hurdle mobility, foot and special strength, core work, multi throws, flexibility, and coach led discussions, giving athletes a complete, high level framework for sprint performance that extends beyond the clinic itself.
