What to Expect
LEARN PRACTICAL WAYS TO BUILD STRONGER, FASTER, MORE DURABLE ATHLETES
Most educational opportunities for middle-distance and distance coaches focus on aerobic training, workout design, periodization, and race strategy.
This workshop is different.
Beyond Mileage: Ancillary and Speed Training for Middle-Distance and Distance Athletes is a two-evening online workshop dedicated exclusively to the ancillary components of training that support middle-distance and distance performance — strength training, speed development, mobility, plyometrics, coordination, and general athletic development. The workshop schedule is as follows:
Monday August 16th
7 to ~8:15 PM - Ryan Banta
8:15 to ~9:30 PM - Brian Doyle
Tuesday August 17th
7 to ~8:15 PM - Mike McCabe
8:15 to ~9:30 PM - Boo Schexnayder
Each presenter will leave ~15 minutes for a Q&A at the end of their presentation
Over these two nights, our goal is not to discuss mileage, lactate threshold work, interval design, or race planning. Instead, we'll focus on the work that complements those systems and helps coaches prepare their athletes to complete that training in a healthy, efficient manner. You'll leave with practical strategies for building faster, stronger, and more durable athletes.
