Ascent Track & Field ClinicS

middle-DISTANCE/DISTANCE SCHEDULE

What to expect

Spend 2 days learning from some of the best minds in the sport.

A CURRICULUM THAT’S DIFFERENT BY DESIGN

At Ascent Track Clinics, the middle-distance and distance curriculum is purposefully different from a typical cross country camp; rather than focusing on mileage or long aerobic sessions, athletes learn how to build the qualities that make them durable, efficient, and fast.

Over the two days, they’ll learn a year-round framework for integrating technical skill, movement quality, and power development through methods such as dynamic flexibility, sprint development, hurdle mobility, circuit training, general strength work, medicine ball routines, plyometrics, and targeted speed development.

They will learn the “why” behind the training, and how to incorporate training modalities such as lactate threshold sessions. Every activity is selected to improve running economy, mechanics, resilience, and performance, giving both athletes and coaches a clear understanding of how to structure these elements as fundamental, year-round training pieces—not extras—so they can run faster, stay healthier, and progress long-term.
